Love

Stacey and Oskar

From person to person, love can be as shallow as an action or a desired appearance or as deep as the feeling and true desire to spend every waking moment with the certain person. Love could be classified in my exploration proposal as a teenage pressure in the way that people can be forced into the emotion of love through their peers, their boyfriend or girlfriend or even the media. Others could think of Love as an emotion, which directs their actions; a genuine feeling about the way one feels about another and thoroughly enjoying each other’s company.

Rebellion

Cigarettes can increase the desirability of an image of being rebellious and carefree. The media is a huge part of the idea of cigarettes being stylish and trendy and has been throughout the ages of fashion and movie stars. Just as it was desirable to smoke cigarettes in the 50’s, it still is today, but for a different reason. Teenagers like to rebel against the authorities and try to portray the image of being dangerous and carefree about the possible risks and outcomes that come with smoking cigarettes.

Glamorous

For the majority of teenagers, alcohol is seen as a rebellious substance that has the power to make one look desirable and fashionable. This is a result of the media and the way alcohol is portrayed to young people in these times. Alcohol is usually photographed for advertising purposes, in a way that is glamorous, ideal and makes the consumer look calm and flawless. As this unrealistic image of a consumer of alcohol is projected throughout teenage culture, it is so obviously different to the realistic effects of the drug.

Come Away With Me In The Night

Congratulations to my beautiful sister, Kristy, and her new husband, Damian, on their marriage.
